Genfitt Supports Homeland & Aurivo In Planting 30,000 Trees For The Month Of November

Date: 30th November 2021

For the month of November, Homeland & Aurivo launched a fantastic campaign where they aimed to plant 30,000 trees in 30 days. Genfitt was delighted to support this initiative and our team was busy the past few weeks planting trees in the local area.

As we know, trees give off oxygen that we need to breathe, helps combat global warming and helps the soil capture and store carbon. Not only this but trees are also homes to many birds and mammals.

This project aims to:
  • Enhance local communities
  • Protect and support ecosystems for future generations
  • Improve the region’s environmental sustainability.
In the month of November, Genfitt planted 100 trees in Kiltimagh and surrounding areas. The trees planted were a mixture of Alder, Birch, Rowan, Whitethorn Oak, Scots Pine and Willow.

“This initiative is part of the wider Aurivo Agribusiness sustainability strategy. The campaign focuses on engaging with local community groups, farmers, suppliers, schools, customers and colleagues to come together in a purposeful way to support the planting of native trees in our local communities providing a lasting legacy for future generations,” said Sheila Maloney, general manager, Aurivo Agribusiness.
